This piece reminds of something growing, developing, forming. The light rises from the base of the pot to overtake the shadows above. Smooth in texture and rich in possibility. 

The form of each pot that I throw suggests what design I should add, whether a carved texture or smooth, burnished or natural and then, of course, what the fire will reveal. A bit of color or just the natural color of the clay terra sigilata that I use is but the accent.
