I threw this as a vase like piece and just as I got to the last 'pull' the lip of the pot turn inward. A happy accident as it held its shape and with a little encouragement yielded the "pitcher". Burnished rim and a little light ledge-like carving helps to bring it all together. 

The form of each pot that I throw suggests what design I should add, whether a carved texture or smooth, burnished or natural and then, of course, what the fire will reveal. A bit of color or just the natural color of the clay terra sigilata that I use is but the accent.
