I am just amazed at what images/associations the fire sometimes produces. 

The form of each pot that I throw suggests what design I should add, whether a carved texture or smooth, burnished or natural and then, of course, what the fire will reveal. A bit of color or just the natural color of the clay terra sigilata that I use is but the accent.
